Catherine: That was Lisa Cava who posted she had it. She never got back to me, so I do not have it to post.

Katharine: I would not know, but probably not worth much or anything. It was a popular poem and who knows who wrote the verses there and for what reason.

Yes, John, I would be interested in seeing the obit for Rose Hartwick Thorpe who was my grandfather Hartwick Barne's grandmother. The Rose in my name (it is also in my mother's name, my daughter's name and my soon to be born grand-daughter's name) is from Rose Hartwick Thorpe. So needless to say, as a family we are interested in any additional information you might have. It will be interesting to see if the oral family stories have remained faithful to her actual life.

I have this book and out of curiosity decided to research it online. It was left in some of my father-in-laws old books. It has gorgeous artwork (plates, liths, etc). The binding is pretty rough but the rest is intact. In fact, someone actually took the newspaper clipping on Mother Bickerdyke's orbituary and glued into the front of the book. May be interested in selling it if I can find out its worth.

I have a very well kept book of FABRE'S BOOK OF INSECTS -- illustrations by DETMOLD . It was copyrighted in 1921 and published in 1939 and It is still in the original box. I would be interested in knowing its value, but I think I will probably give it to my eleven year old grandson who wants to be a herpetologist when he grows up. At one time the book belonged to his great grandmother. Ann
