We are home from NZ, Australia, Fiji, etc. Went to your recommended bookstore in Melb. Bought a book on Australian birds. Didn't see your friend. Left message with your regards. How are "birds on a stick:" coming?

It's not worth too much money. The images are not really of very good quality or detail. Ten to twenty dollars on the open market, I would guess. I would probably be able to pay two to five dollars at an auction if I found it and wanted it. It could always fetch more if there was more than one interested buyer at an auction. In used bookstores the price will range widely, probably from five to fifty dollars, depending on a large number of factors.

It's a fun book, though.

My parents acquired several of these old books by Elizabeth Gordon, and other authors that were written from 1915-1935, I suppose for my much older siblings (I'm 52). However, I remember all of the old books by Elizabeth Gordon and others, but I especially loved the Rhymes for Kindly Children. I'm in the process of acquiring alot of these old treasures, and I'm thrilled to find this website! Since I'm expecting my first granddaughter, I'm hoping to purchase several of you cards to frame in her new bedroom in my house. Thanks!

Hi, totally awesome website... I hope you are still doing this (no entries for a couple of months!) I just sent a donation which is hardly enough to cover the amount of time, work and care you have put into this!

Thank you for all you've done....

Hi Justin,

Yes, I will not knowingly post anything here that is not public domain. Generally, anything published in the US during or before the year 1922 has now passed into the public domain. It is a bit more complicated than that, especially for later years, but that is a rough first guide. These blueprints were all published before 1920 so are fairly certain to be out fo copyright.

For later works, or many works form other countries, there are longer periods of protection.

Thanks for the comment.
